jenna said yes!

January 19, 2013…

…is our new wedding date! Apologies for not updating constantly here, but the last few months have been a blur as we were helping Jenna’s mom recover after her operation and then, after she was feeling better, moving forward with rescheduling everything.

But, like I said, things are moving along. We are 2 months away from the new date, which is also our tenth anniversary (pretty cool, huh?) Reinvites have gone out via glosite.com, which has been a great resource. I loved designing our original paper invitations, but because we didn’t want to go through the process again (plus we needed to save time), the website has been a great relief in gathering RSVP information all over again.

So that’s all for now, but keep checking back for more updates as we get closer to the (new) big day!

She said YES! (to the dress)

Well, check another thing off that list! I’ve found my dress! It actually wasn’t too hard. After trying on about 15 dresses and figuring out what fabrics and styles worked or didn’t work, the perfect dress just fell into my lap!

No pictures posted here of course, but I will point out that the salon, Amy Kuschel Bridal in downtown San Francisco, is great! They make all their dresses on site in the production studio the floor above their showroom from scratch. It’s a great feeling to know your dress is made right there and not in some factory overseas too. Plus, having a dress built from nothing to your own measurements is something that only comes along once in a lifetime.

Mikey celebrating his birthday with the guys in Manhattan Beach. We had such an awesome time in Los Angeles. We are hoping to go back soon! We miss you all!

Finally! We now have nice photos of both the Harbison and Asuncion families! The second one was made possible by Mikey flying Lizbie out to San Francisco (in secret, no less!) the same weekend Kit and Don were in town. Best fiancé/future son-in-law ever!

It’s official! Terra in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco is our wedding venue!

We’re back from Cape Cod! What a fun trip! Thanks to Kit and Don for letting us stay with you!

Now that we’ve spent time with both families, I think it’s a safe to say that wedding planning has officially been kicked into full gear. So much on the list of to dos, but at least we’ve got one of the big ones crossed off — the venue! Yup, if you haven’t heard already, we are set to have our wedding at Terra right here in our new home in San Francisco! We couldn’t be happier!

Jenna only got to spend a few hours with the ring on proposal day because we had to bring it back for resizing the next day. Apparently I miscalculated the size by a full size, plus some. That did not stop her from putting the ring on after I proposed. Haha, what a trooper!

Good news is that the ring is finally back with Jenna. It finally fits! Here it is in all it’s shiny awesomeness!
